I find myself entirely unable to take Conservative party co-chair Oliver Dowden seriously. Partly this is because he’s a dead ringer for the wet ginger one out of 90s flatshare sitcom Game On, and I’m precisely the right age to have that reference lodged immovably in my brain, and under such circumstances I’d find it impossible to take anybody seriously.
