Thanks Jonn, I really didn't know why the old county of Ross & Cromarty was so named. (And I loved the side-swipe at the Association of British Counties - what an odd bunch they are...)
it is, should be widely available... but the modern book market being what it is getting early sales through Amazon actually makes it more likely to sell elsewhere later, alas
Hoping you note that the time lines being set on GMT are impacted by latitude even though the hours go by longitude, and Greenwich being so far north means that places like Sydney should have Daylight Savings Time all year long as the northerness of Greenwich means we have absurd light at 5am and darkness at 5pm in winter which wouldn’t be so if Greenwich was a few thousands miles south and all our hours would start later in the day

It does aggravate me how they insist the real counties are ancient and unchanging and then use a map that only dates to 1888
I'm looking forward to the book.
Sir George Steuart Mackenzie, 7th Baronet and George Mackenzie, 1st Earl of Cromartie are 1st cousins 4 x removed.
There is also a dizzying array of Kenneths in the family.
Fascinatingly ridiculous! Is the book available to pre-order from another source, other than Amazon?

Thanks John, I’ll order up a copy. Can’t wait to read it.
