There's been a long debate about possible bandwagon effects generated by the polls. For the main parties at general elections in a first past the post election, it seems like such effects are pretty rare and it's unlikely to have been part of the story of 1970.
Am I right in thinking was also the first UK election with an exit poll (which got it right)?
Yep, a one constituency poll for Gravesend which was indeed very accurate.
Could each reported poll result have influenced the succeeding poll or were they too close together in time to affect each other?
